I hate the word diet,it's a dirty four letter word. However this cowgirl admits she could stand to lose some of her awesome body"mass".
I did not start out thinking I was going to lose any weight,I started thinking I needed to get my son cowboy Christopher on a healthier chemical free, processed food free(not a diet)WAY OF EATING.The amazing side effect is.. WEIGHT LOSS for the Cowgirl..YEEHAW to that...I know a Cowboy who just might enjoy that.

Cowboy Christopher has a genetic disorder called Bannayan-Ruvalcaba-Riley Syndrome, the little cowboy was always a BIG cowboy even at birth.I remember the first thing the NICU nurse said to me before she showed me my baby cowboy..OH YOU ARE THE MOTHER OF THE BIG BABY...seeing him next to all the little neo babies truly showed he was going to be a BIG COWBOY...leads us up to 11 plus years later..Christopher started having headaches :( we get a MRI,we see a 12cc polyp inside his head. And mild Hydrocephalus.YES my cowgirl heart heart dropped onto the floor when the doctors said that.HOWEVER thankfully he is going to be fine. The polyp is still there,he thankfully did not have so much pressure buildup that he needed a shunt. And the headaches are being controlled with medication.

The above made me really rethink everything we put into his body. Some things we have limited control of,BUT we can control his food.I decided to think OUTSIDE OF THE BOX...we don't need all those food dyes, chemicals to preserve freshness, and honestly we don't need foods that have a shelf life longer then many Hollywood marriages. What we need is REAL FOOD,food that hasn't been bleached, waxed(why am I thinking I need to get my brows done?) overly processed.that has very little real food left in it.We are paying for fillers..I want to pay for real food.I want to know that my little cowboy is getting the very best I can give him.I want him to have the best chance possible in life.I want him to grow up knowing how to eat real food,I believe this is the best GIFT I can ever give him(although he thinks his XBOX 360 is the best gift EVER).

I started thinking would I ever feed our animals food filled with fillers?NEVER,we give them the best feed possible because that's what they were meant to eat, they need it.So why do we buy human food that is loaded with fillers? Why not just buy real human food?

long summer still cowgirling up every single day

Oh I am so sick and tired of holding it all together.I miss my cowboy.

Anyways lets see whats new..oh the peacocks are FREE..someone forgot to close the pen all the way and they are now free and running around the ranch(oh the someone who forget to close the pen all the way would be me..opps)
And OMG so I accidently ran over a few fence posts..what a mess that was...barbwire flying everywhere. Then of course I had to fix the fence afterwards,HOURS in the heat. And digging holes and nailing up barbwire..I assure you I will never ever run over the fence again.
Oh and we have a few new animals on the ranch....so Rick came home for a few weeks and he brought forth the gift of more critters,lol....lots of geese...geese geese everywhere geese.

I'm off to seaworld today with the little kids..I'll update more later

Still alive here!!!!Sorry so long since an update

WOW its been just plan crazy.Ever feel completely overwhelmed?Thats me...

OMG what was I ever thinking starting a veggie garden at this point?Sure I love doing it,I enjoy the garden and I love all the fresh veggies, but let me tell you its so much WORK.I swear I weed non stop and when I think its under control its time to start re weeding..Oh and then I had grasshoppers..I mean come on..its was almost like biblical times with locus(ok yes I'm being a dram queen..hahahahaha)but really grasshoppers..those cute little bugs that I remember catching and playing with as a child were a total pain in the rear to get rid of.
I'll have to take some pictures of the garden to share.I'm still shocked I managed to grow a garden..and so excited I did it all from seeds.

I still don't like the peacocks..they really scare me.LOL Yes I know they are beautiful birds..however if you ever want to look at rather or not the dinosaurs evolved into birds...I say come check out my peacocks...I say yes....peacocks and the dreaded ROOSTERS...
Speaking of Roosters...why do some roosters just snap? One day they are just walking around pretty clueless..then they just snap..and its ALL ON..They stalk you and just wait for you to turn your back so they can attack. They are truely the velociraptors of our time.(psst if you happen to not know what a velociraptor is check out this website....http://www.velociraptors.info/    lots of great info to avoid an attack..lol)
I promise to update more later..the ranch awaits its cowgirl and well I have tons of work to do

I'm so screwed

Well I did get the tractor started YAY...and then I got some HAY out so YAY FOR HAY.

So my friend Laura calls and says hey I have the whole weekend planned for you(I love when she does that, lol)Anyways the plans were circus on Saturday..Epcot on Sunday..woohoo sounds like a blast...so excited.
Then my van broke...good grief....and for the record..I can fix a tractor but not a stupid minivan.A million thanks to the random strangers that stopped and helped me push the van..and a million and one thanks to the random stranger that went home to get her husband to see if he could get me running. Its so refreshing to see truely honest to goodness great people..willing to help out while I tried my hardest to cowgirl up but was closer to having a breakdown(you know mental..the van already had a breakdown)on the side of the road.
I hate the feeling of helplessness..I know I'm so much stronger then that.Yet I felt like a complete loser.

Anyways I have to say my Cowboy even being way up in NC made a few calls got John the mechanic to come with a tow truck..The Cowboy's mom Hilda(I love her)came to pick me and Justin up.So now I'm carless...and stuck on the ranch.(not that its the worst place in the world to be)but I really wanted to go to the circus. And you know have a car for grown up stuff like getting to the grocery store and stuff.Boy this really sucks.
Anyways if you happen to see a tractor rolling down the HWY with a carseat on it...Its just me and the boys.

I sure hope the van gets fixed fast and its an easy fix.

Hostage Standoff Christmas,Florida

Help I'm being held hostage,I am stuck in my house unable to do my cowgirl duties(I'm having coffee watching last nights survivior and enjoying the AC..so you can see just how dire this is..)
So the tractor is broke..crappers I need it.Anyways a call to the cowboy last night and he thinks its a dead battery...cuz DID YOU KNOW THAT TRACTORS HAD HEADLIGHTS?Well I didn't and I think in my using it I may of turned them on and left them on..becouse lets face it I have NO IDEA what I'm doing. So I need to get to the warehouse..thankfully I parked the tractor next to the warehouse(so grateful I did something right!!!)And hook up the battery charger and PRAY it works.
I need to get hay in the field...the cows are looking for the hay.

Ok for those who haven't been to our ranch...we have a pet cow.Yes I know we have lots of cows but one is a true pet.She started out as Ugly Cow(cuz she was ugly)And she slowly turned into Ugly Betty..now everyone(except me)just calls her Betty..Anyways she knows she's a pet and I guess as far as a cow's life goes she's rather pampered. We hand feed her..ok the cowboy hand feeds her I put some cow chow(lol can you belive there is really a thing called cow chow..I don't know why I laugh everytime I read the bag but I do)Ok back to the point..I put her cow chow in a bucket and just let her do her thing.
Everytime she sees me she comes running..and wants to play.Only playing with a cow is not so easy..its not like she can roll over and play dead or fetch a stick.Playing with a cow means she HEAD BUTTS me..and to be honest its hurts. She's a cow for goodness sakes she's BIG.
So that brings us to the hostage standoff....I already fed the animals(aside from the cows..thankful we have grass they can graze)I even gave Ugly Cow a bucket of cow chow.but she won't leave!!!!
She's is just waiting outside...I can't get to the warehouse to fix the tractor..then get the hay...nope she is just outside MOO-ing.So I am forced to watch TV and drink coffee and have a semi"normal"day....
Ugly cow at Justins first birthday party..lol she ate his cake
